The University of Guilan Donors' Foundation

 

The University of Guilan Charity Foundation is a cultural and scientific institute of public interest which was established in 2016 with the aim of providing educational opportunities and resources for students and expanding the infrastructure of the University of Guilan by utilizing the financial and non-financial help of our respected benefactors. This foundation is registered under the registered number of 1217 of the Company Registration General Office with the license number of 5195/80/1/2203, registered on 1395/05/17, and received its permit to be active as a non-governmental organization.

The respected members of the charity foundation volunteer to spend their time and their financial and non-financial resources to identify, invite and attract philanthropists and donors. Based on the article 13 of the constitution, the structure The University of Guilan Charity Foundation is as follows:

One of the most important goals of the foundation is to foster constructive interaction with affluent individuals, philanthropists and university alumni to encourage and persuade them to support the development plans of the university. Actions taken by this foundation has made it possible for more respected benefactors to wholeheartedly support the University of Guilan. Currently, various projects are in development as a result of the charitable acts of philanthropists and donors, as their numbers are increasing with each new academic year.

 

    1 – Construction of Buildings:

 

 

    1.1 Completed Buildings

 

1.1.1. The expansion plan for the Faculty of Literature and Humanities, including classrooms, offices, a library and an amphitheater with a total area of 7300 square meters, was initiated in 2004. The project was completed in 2007 with the help of the late Dr. Mirjafar Abrishamchian.

1.1.2 The Dr. Seyyed Ali Abrishamchian Classroom Building (which is comprised of 25 classrooms with the capacity of 100 students for each class) with an area of 3400 square meters.  The project was started in 2010 and was completed in 2014.

1.1.3 Constructing and completing the research building for poultry, as part of the Faculty of Agriculture, made possible with the help of Mr. Haj Abdollah Navid Talemi, the respected CEO of Navid Morgh Guilan Co.

1.1.4 Building a school in the flood-ridden areas of Lorestan under the name of the ‘Benefactors of the University of Guilan':

Following the charitable actions of our fellow citizens in helping the flood-ridden neighborhoods in the Lorestan province, the University of Guilan Charity Foundation and students, employees and faculty members at the University of Guilan put together their financial resources, and with the help of the Schools' Renovation Organization and the Office for Voluntary Aid, a school was built in the Kallat Zivdar village in the city of Mamoolan, in the Lorestan province, under the name of the Benefactors of the University of Guilan. With a classroom area of 83 meters and a yard with an area of 300 meters yards, the school became operational in February 2020.

    1.2 Buildings Under Construction

1.2.1. The Central Laboratory of the University of Guilan, to be completed with the help of Mr. Karim Navid, a university alumni, and the respected CEO of Navid Joojeh Guilan Co. The Central Laboratory is currently under construction, located in front of the Dr. Seyyed Ali Abrishamchian Classroom Building. The Central Laboratory will have an area of 2700 square meters, and will be built in three floors including 25 specialized, advanced laboratories which will have three separate sections.

1.2.2. Rambod Computer Center, to be built with the help of Dr. Reza Pourbahador.

1.2.3. Sharif Health and Counseling Center, to be built with the help of the respected benefactor Dr. Esmaeel Ansari (a faculty member at the University of Guilan) with an area of 400 square meters (two floors).

1.2.4. Technology and Innovation Center, to be built with the help of Mr. Gholamhassan Ghotbzadeh, with an area of 2170 square meters, and two floors.

1.2.5. Completing the research building for Sheep, a part of the Animal Science buildings belonging to the Faculty of Agriculture, to be built with the help of Mr. Haj Abdollah Navid Talami, the respected CEO of Navid Morgh Guilan Co.

• Facilitating and supporting meetings and academic conferences at the University of Guilan… such as the meeting of the philanthropists and benefactors of the university, holding a commemoration ceremony for Professor Fazlollah Reza, and etc.
