Getting here
The University of Guilan is located in the province of Guilan in northern Iran and southeast of Rasht. It is also close to Sardar Jangal Rasht Airport, which is used for domestic flights. It is accessible by public transport. There is parking space on campus and visitors wishing to park their car on campus need to obtain permission beforehand. You may contact int@guilan.ac.ir for more information.
Internet Connection
Connecting to the internet at University of Guilan requires a username and password. You may acquire a guest ID from the ISCO for the duration of your stay at the university.
Food providing on campus:
There is a main restaurant on campus, which cater to students. It serves lunch from 12pm every day except on weekends. There are also two private restaurants which serve both traditional and fast food. A small takeaway café serves hot and cold beverages. Restaurants are located on the map.

Currency exchange:
The university does not house an exchange bureau but there are exchange bureaus (Sarrafi) and designated banks in Rasht for currency exchange. Banks at the airport and hotels also provide money changing facilities. Example: The website XE provides information on the current exchange rates.
Healtcare
The university clinic is located on the map overleaf and is open 8 am to 10 pm every day. A doctor and a nurse are present at the clinic.
Drees code
Men are expected to wear long trousers but are allowed to wear short sleeves. Women are expected to cover their hair and wear loose fitting clothes, covering arms and legs. Please, also, note that shaking hands with members of the opposite gender is not permissible.
