In a joint degree program, sometimes called a dual degree program, the students spend the first half of their study at the home institution and the second half of it will be spent at the host institution conducting the research part of the program supervised by the faculty members of the both institutes. ENSAM University

University of Guilan has a joint program with ENSAM (Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Arts et Métiers) in France for the M. Sc. program in Engineering. Based on this agreement, students can study one year at the University of Guilan and one year at ENSAM, and after defending their thesis, they will receive a degree from both universities.
