A delegation from Fulda University of Applied Sciences including the president, Director of the International Office, and three academic members met with Dr. Ahmad Razi, the Chancellor of the University of Guilan (GU), and University officials on Saturday March 5th, 2016. The aim of this visit was increasing research and academic collaborations between two universities.
In this meeting, Dr. Ahmad Razi, welcomed the delegate and then briefly introduced GU. He also emphasized on the internationalization policy of the university and mentioned that the University officials would welcome any academic and research collaboration.
Then Dr. Ali Bani, the Director of International and Scientific Cooperation Office of GU introduced the University by the facts and figures on the number of faculties, students, faculty members and the rank of GU among the Universities of Iran.
Dr. Karim Khakzar, the President of Fulda University of Applied Sciences, was the next speaker who expressed his happiness at being in GU and expressed his readiness for collaboration in academic field.
In this meeting both universities tended toward organizing joint programs, joint research projects, student exchange program and etc.
He also presented a lecture for the students and academic members of GU and briefly introduced Fulda University and elaborated on the educational system of Germany. Then Dr. Winnie Rosatis, the Director of International Office of Fulda University, introduced the policies of Fulda University for increasing the number of International students, strengthening the International relations and expansion of the International Cooperation Network. She added some facts and figures from the Fulda University and explained about the different programs that are available for International students.
Also, in two specialized meetings Dr. Volker Hinnenkamp discussed about Internationalization of Higher Education as an Intercultural Challenge for the University, and Dr. Paul Grimm introduced new achievements regarding 3D Photos and virtual reality.
