The University of Guilan hosted a high ranking delegation from Atyrau State university, Kazakhstan, including the First Vice Rector, Deputy Dean for Strategic Development and Science, and Dean of the Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Science. The two parties emphasized on developing cooperation between the two universities which both are members of the Association of the State Universities of the Caspian Region Countries (ASUC).
"The development of our International scientific interactions with countries around the world specially the Caspian Region countries is of our prior policies. Our university is prepared for scientific and research cooperation with university of Atyrau" said the president of GU, Prof. Ahmad Razi.
Dr. Aigerim Shilibekova, the First Vice Rector of of Atyrau State University also expressed her delight from visiting Iran. She introduced University of Atyrau and hoped for continuous interactions and cooperation in different matters such as research plans on oil, soil, ecology and agriculture, publishing articles, starting soil research laboratories, Russian language teaching and launching a mutual portal for Caspian Region countries.
At the end of the meeting a MoU has been signed between the two universities for the future educational, scientific and research cooperation.
