Guilan University Chancellor Dr. Ahmad Razi who was invited by "Islamic Culture and Relations Organization" to take part in seminar of Cultural Dialogue between Iran and Indian Subcontinent, visited two universities in New Delhi, India along with Scientific, Research and Technology representative of Iran in India and chancellor of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, discussing the necessity of scientific interaction development between University of Guilan and universities of India through several meetings.
Dr. Razi also gave a speech on literary and linguistic relations of Iran and India in seminar of Cultural Dialogue between Iran and Indian Subcontinent on January 19, 2017.
Referring to the roots of Iranian and Indian languages, Dr. Razi stated: "The Iranian and Indian languages are the survivors of a single language called Indo-Iranian language so these languages are from the same family."
He continued: "This connection started with the vocabulary borrowing between ancient Persian and Sanskrit and had continued massively that resulted in writing outstanding literary works in Farsi in India and vice versa which provided expansion and consistency in cultural connection that finely led to cultural hybridity of Iran and India."
