International Culture Festival of Nations universities and higher education institutions with the presence of international students from Afghanistan, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Tajikistan, Turkey, China, Syria, Iraq, Palestine, Lebanon, Nigeria, India and Yemen were held on July 9-11 at Imam Khomeini International University in Qazvin province.
The aims of this festival was familiarizing students with different cultures of history and customs, laying the groundwork for the expansion of scientific and cultural diplomacy using the capacity of universities, expanding the sense of positivity and belonging among the students of nations towards the country, promoting the message of friendship, Empathy and moderation between different cultures and non-Iranian students through Various events such as opening, visiting booths and exhibitions, workshops and cultural, visiting the city's historical sites with the cooperation of the municipality and Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism. In this festival, Dr. Hashem Dadashpour, Deputy Minister of Science and Head of Students Organization, Dr. Seyed Ali Qasemzadeh, Head of Imam Khomeini International University of Qazvin, Dr. Hassan Ghafourifard, Former President of Imam Khomeini International University and Chairman of the Supervisory and Inspection Board of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution, the Governor of Qazvin, and Dr. Molavi, international director of Qazvin International University, each addressed the importance of several thousand years of historical background and rich Iranian cultural identity, the importance of recognizing different cultures and the role of the Festival of Nations in creating more understanding among nations as well as understanding the realities and strengthening friendship and peace and transferring and issuing scientific and research achievements of Islamic Iran.
On the first day of the international student festival, students from Universities of Tehran, Amir Kabir, Gilan (32 Students), Nasir al-Din al-Tusi, Birjand, Urmia, Shahrekord, Art of Isfahan, Mazandaran, Yazd and several units of Azad University participated alongside more than 80 ambassadors and cultural advisors and national authorities.
